‘TV star?’ is the comical story of a boy called Archie who always seems to get into trouble, especially from the ferocious head teacher, Mrs Dimple. He loves football, hates school, has an interesting collection of friends, is dreading the move into Year 4 after the summer holidays and can’t quite understand how the stories in the Bible fit in with his life today!
However, for Archie surprises are afoot and the autumn term sees him not only beginning to enjoy the year, but also visiting a TV studio to star in the school Christmas play! However, things are never straight forward and allergic reactions, unusual television presenters, tarantulas and other traumas lead to a hilarious and sometimes moving story.
The book follows Archie through the highs and lows of school life as he and his friends learn that God loves them just the way they are.
