Around the Table of the King
The communion service is a precious part of our life together as believers, but its rich Old Testament background is sometimes missed by Christians. In these thirty-four meditations, John Jacobs, a Jew who came to faith in Jesus, draws on his Jewish background to explore the roots of communion, and includes prayers and hymns to help us in our worship. Suitable for use either for personal devotions or for leading the communion service, these mediations enrich our understanding and appreciation of gathering around the Lord’s table.
