Help! I am facing a trial

The Christian is not promised an easy ride through life. In fact, Jesus told his
followers, ‘In the world you shall have tribulation’. Trials, temptations, and
tribulations follow us all our days. In this booklet we will examine ways in
which we can understand them, endure them, and even, ‘rejoice in them’!
(James 1:2). With the trial comes the promise, ‘Be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world’ (John 16:33).

Jim Winter served as an evangelical pastor in England for
over thirty-five years. He has preached and lectured in the
UK, USA and South East Asia, and has had a long-standing
ministry in Myanmar. He is the author of several Christian
books and is currently consultant editor for the Day One
