How to run children's clubs and meetings
We would love to see people appear out of the blue who are superbly gifted at working with children and teenagers. These workers would have unlimited energy and patience, and be highly organized so that everything ran with barely a hitch.
Unfortunately, people like this are extremely rare. Perhaps you wonder whether you have what it takes to help with children's clubs. Maybe you already help with a children's club or meeting, but often feel that you are simply muddling along. You may have been helping with children's clubs for a number of years. Whatever your involvement in children's work, this Bible-based yet thoroughly practical book is designed to help you, as Steven Walker uses his considerable experience to provide encouragement as well as ideas and guidelines for all who assist with this ministry.
About the Author:
Steven Walker is a deacon of an evangelical church in Lancaster. He was brought up to attend church and Sunday school but did not come to faith in Christ until his mid-teens. During the past twenty years he has been involved in leading midweek meetings for children and teenagers, teaching a teenage Sunday school class, and running the church’s annual holiday Bible club. From time to time, he also preaches and leads Bible studies. He derives great pleasure from the natural world and from music, particularly folk music and folk-blues, and he plays the guitar. He and his wife Sarah have two grown-up children, Matthew and Ruth.
